About MRO Logistix
MRO Logistix was founded in 2012. Its mission is to provide additional value-added logistics services to our customers, above and beyond what the supply chain management and integrated supply services provided at the individual site level. Off-site services include bulk purchases, kitting, storage and re-distribution of MRO inventory along with customer-specific value-added services.
The company’s explosive growth has allowed for the opening of three logistics centers across the U.S., with several more scheduled to open in 2017.
Tom Melina, President, MRO Logistix
As vice president, Tom Melina is responsible for the day-to-day operations of MRO Logistix while working to establish strategic supplier and manufacturer relationships. He works directly with site operational staff coordinating bulk and strategic purchases to meet site-specific requirements. He also works with site operations teams to identify opportunities where MROL can assist in meeting site contractual obligations.
He is also responsible for identifying and opening additional MROL logistics centers while managing the MROL budget and sales/profit goals.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Melina previously worked for Parker Hannifin in engineering field support. In 1982 he founded CSF Technology, based in Santa Clara, CA. CSF distributed spare parts and services to semiconductor manufacturers in North America and Europe.
The company was sold to Praxair in 2001.
